JM Furniture is owned and operated by the Herman family.
In 1970 Charles and Joyce Herman brought their 3 children to Carson City. The young family lived in an apartment within walking distance of the old vacant Ford dealership. Charles leased and renovated the art deco building and opened a furniture store using his wife's initials, JM. In doing so, Charles Herman (1942-1998) developed a business formula that was ideal for Carson City and that his son Jeff and daughter Jacque follow to this day.
